Although/though/in spite of/despite

I review my learning words today.

Although

Although + subject + verb

Usages
  • Although I was sick, I went to work yesterday.
  • I'm happy although I have little money.
  • Although it rained, we climbed the mountain.

In spite of / despite

in spite of / despite + noun / pronoun / -ing

Usages
  • In spite of living the big house, we use it only two rooms.
  • Despite having angry for him, I went to the his party.
  • I went to work in spite of being sick.

Though

It's used in spoken English at end of the sentences.

Usages
  • I didn't like swimming. I swam,though.
  • I couldn't sleep. I was really tired,though.
Conclusion

These are same meaning. However if you use "in spite of / despite", you would seem to be smart.

Thanks.
